Palmetto Renovations of Columbia, Inc. is a locally owned and operated Home Improvement Company dedicated to excellent customer service and quality work. We are seeking a Design Consultant. Summary The Design Consultant is responsible for the creation of 3D Renderings for the Sales Department of Palmetto Renovations. The ideal candidate for this position has a vast knowledge of computer-aided design (CAD) software-based programs such as Chief Architect and Home Designer Pro with acute attention to detail and an eye for interior design and color theory. Sales Consultants will provide all necessary pictures, dimensions, and drawings to the Design Consultant in order for an accurate 3D rendering of the existing and proposed space to be developed. The Design Consultant will work closely with the respective Sales Consultant and the Sales Director to fine-tune and make all adjustments as needed before, during, and after the Design Consultation. At times, the Design Consultant will also assist with updating and creating renderings for the Fulfillment and Field Departments. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Using the information obtained from the Sales Consultant after their Initial Contact Appointments (Scope Descriptions, Photos and Drawings to include dimensions and elevations), to create a 3D rendering of the existing space and/or potential project. Research of all primary functions of the Chief Architect and Home Designer Pro software and installation and maintenance of updates as needed. Import custom materials, bonus catalogs, and additional items as needed in order to create as close a representation as possible of the potential project. Facilitates rendering adjustments during design consultations with potential customers. Attend Staff and Sales Meetings to provide updates. Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the storefront and work areas. Ensure all deadlines are met and work is completed correctly. Respond to questions and requests for information in a timely manner. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities. Training, Education and Licensure ● Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills. ● Three (3) years of related work experience. ● Proficient in Microsoft Office products. ● Proficient in Home Designer Pro, Chief Architect and/or other AutoCAD or 3D Rendering software. ● Ability to learn necessary software (i.e., monday.com, QuickBooks, etc.) indigenous to the construction business environment. ● Excellent organizational, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. ● Ability to effectively communicate with others, oral and written. ● Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. ● Must be able to multi-task and easily adapt to a fast-paced environment. ● Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business. ● Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement. ● Strong work ethic to meet changes in responsibilities that will take place daily. ● Capacity to work independently and as a team player. ● Must represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
