Position Introduction:

Cimarron is seeking senior-level Electrical Engineers to support the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase of the US Air Force’s Sentinel program (GBSD) in Ogden, UT. Cimarron provides engineering and technical support to Bechtel for the design, construction, and integration of the Sentinel launch infrastructure at locations to include Vandenberg AFB, CA, F.E. Warren AFB, WY, Malmstrom AFB, MT, and Minot AFB, ND. Sentinel is a vital nuclear modernization program that will recapitalize the nation’s aging ground based leg of the nuclear triad — the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM). This position is onsite.

Key Duties:

  • Develop equipment location/power plans, lightning protection plans/analysis, single lines, panel schedules, load lists, lighting layouts, and cathodic protection.
  • Develop procurement documents, including specifications and material requisitions.
  • Develop and check calculations.

Required Skills:

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • 6 or more years of relevant experience including, but is not limited to, drawings, calculations, and specifications for Electrical systems and equipment on nuclear or industrial process facilities, data centers, central utility plants, or complex building Electrical systems.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite, and other common computer programs.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to utilize engineering and office automation tools effectively.
  • Knowledge of industry and regulatory guides, codes, and standards as well as Bechtel Corporate guides and standards.
  • Broad knowledge of the application of Electrical engineering design principles.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and layouts.
  • Strong understanding of engineering drawings, systems calculations, equipment sizing, and cable sizing.
  • Strong knowledge of power systems loads modeling and analysis.
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in the USA (Electrical Engineering).
  • Experience working with procedures meeting quality assurance programs such as ISO-9000.
  • Prior experience working with government agencies, preferably the Department of Defense.
  • Experience executing engineering design with Revit.
  • Experience performing calculations with ETAP.
  • Understanding of Mechanical and Process engineering discipline drawings and system calculations, as related to electrical design requirements.
  • Intermediate knowledge of developing CSI MasterFormat specifications, or SpecsIntact.
  • Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
