Belknap House is a nonprofit organization that provides safe shelter to homeless families in Belknap County, NH. The organization opens its doors in 2017 and aims to empower families to become self-sufficient through educational opportunities and customized resource referrals. Belknap House supports homeless parents in gaining life-changing skills and confidence through direct services, case management, community resource collaboration, and tenant accountability.
Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid Executive Director role located in Laconia, NH, with flexibility for some remote work. The Executive Director will oversee daily operations, fundraising, financial management, community partnerships, and staff supervision. The Executive Director will also work collaboratively with the board to develop and execute strategic plans and represent the organization to the public and media.
Qualifications
- Nonprofit leadership experience, including managing staff and volunteers
- Experience managing community relationships and donor relationships
- Strong budgeting and financial management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
- Oversee development and coordination of new programs
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and donor relations
- Familiarity with technology and social media tools to support marketing and communication
- Experience working with low-income and homeless families, preferred
- Degree in nonprofit management, social work, or related field, preferred
