As the Head of Real Estate US, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our real estate portfolio within the United States. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the real estate market. You will oversee the acquisition, development, leasing, and management of properties, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximizing the value of our real estate assets. This role will report into the Area Head of Finance for the US.

Responsibilities

As the Head of Real Estate US, you will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our real estate portfolio within the United States. This role requires strategic vision, strong leadership, and a deep understanding of the real estate market. You will oversee the acquisition, development, leasing, and management of properties, ensuring alignment with company objectives and maximizing the value of our real estate assets. This role will report into the Area Head of Finance for the US.

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive real estate strategy aligned with the company’s overall goals and objectives.
  • Portfolio Management: Oversee the management of the company’s real estate portfolio, including acquisitions, dispositions, and lease negotiations.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for expansion/space reduction, assess market trends, and mitigate risks.
  • Financial Management: Manage real estate budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Implement cost-saving initiatives and maximize ROI on real estate investments.
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, developers, brokers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the real estate team, including local facilities management, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards. Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with real estate transactions.
  • Sustainability and ESG: Develop and implement sustainable real estate practices, aligning with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. Supporting with ESG reporting as needed.
  • Technology Integration: Leverage technology solutions to streamline real estate processes, enhance efficiency, and improve decision-making.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on real estate performance, including financial analysis, portfolio metrics, and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in real estate management, with a focus on commercial or corporate real estate.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large real estate portfolios and executing complex transactions.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with real estate financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to anticipate market trends and drive innovation.
  • Leadership experience, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team towards achieving common goals.
  • Knowledge of sustainability practices and their application in real estate management is desirable.
  • Demonstrated commitment to integrity, ethics, and corporate social responsibility.
  • Ability to work with Senior leaders and develop plans on the future real estate footprint.
