Title: Operations Analyst

Anticipated Duration: 6-month Contract (potential to extend)

Location: Remote, US (Bay Area Candidates Preferred)

Position Overview:

Our Client is looking for a proactive and experienced safety assurance specialist that would help execute internal exercises aimed at improving maturity of internal processes. Duties will include:

  • The analysis of internal and external safety practices toward the collection and tracking of evidence and artifacts that can speak to the current implementation status of such practices
  • The cross-functional collaboration with varied teams across engineering, product, operations, safety, and legal divisions to critically evaluate such evidence and summarize feedback.
  • The management of collected documentation within tooling such as JIRA
  • The reporting of status updates on the project development
  • The abstraction of requirements associated with novel practices

Operations Analyst Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in related working fields (longer preferred). Relevant fields may include: safety assurance functions in automotive, aviation, rail, chemical, process industry.
  • BS/MS in technical field with graduate degrees being preferred. Technical degrees may include: mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, other transportation modes engineering, and other engineering fields.
  • Auditing capabilities and/or credentials
  • Ability to comprehend both technical and legal requirements
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities to independently execute on cross functional collaborations between engineering, product, and safety divisions
  • Ability to problem-solve complex situations involving diverse stakeholders
  • Excellent analytical ability to condense large sources of information into actionable items
  • Strong critical thinking skills to abstract requirements from higher level text
  • Ability to work with basic G- Suite

Operations Analyst Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience serving in standardization benchmarking in relation to functional safety, quality management, or performance-based assessment.
  • Familiarity with the AV standardization panorama.
  • Prior experience with the JIRA requirement management tool.

The hourly pay range for this position is $36.00 to $46.32/hr (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
