Job Summary

The Operations Lead will be responsible for implementing and managing operations processes and systems to ensure a high level of efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role requires excellent organizational and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to lead a team of operation personnel. Specifically, this role assists Purchasing, Sourcing, Logistics, Shipping, Customer Support, and other departments as needed. The position also demands close interaction with the Sales team and customers to assist in generating more business and seeing projects through design and into a successful production launch. This position will report to the General Manager.

  • Must be experienced in the following positions to cover daily tasks if someone is out of the office: Purchasing, Sourcing, Shipping, & Customer Support.
  • Will assist in training new Employees in Purchasing, Sourcing, Shipping, Customer Support.
  • Must have experience in sourcing components and managing shipping schedules as well as managing domestic/international logistics.
  • Responsible for the management of all systems governing, planning/logistics, production.
  • Maintain awareness of new and ongoing issues in production, scheduling/logistics, purchasing and quality departments, and work with the team to ensure all issues are addressed in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Interface closely with upper management as required to maintain effective operational practices and assist with overall strategies for growth and efficiency.
  • Oversee of production maintenance on equipment and the internal databases as required.
  • Establish priorities to follow-up of prototype and production orders to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain and report to managers on personnel and company’s monthly performance.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the production staff produces to levels that meet or exceed manufacturing standards.
  • Manage Fullerton production/shipping department workload capacities.
  • Participate in the supervision and process of the Annual Physical inventory.
  • Engage with the offshore factory to eliminate and/or minimize barriers to effective communication and productivity.
  • Assisting that employees comply with company policies.
  • Instill and encourage a positive, team-focused company culture.
  • Periodic Travel as needed to meet with suppliers, attend trade shows, and otherwise support operational needs.

Job Experience

  • 4-year degree in business or operations preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ Years of Experience in Operational Management
  • Experience in understanding of operational processes and systems for the printing or HMI industries.
  • Experience with Sage ERP MAS or equivalent operating system.
  • Effective planning, analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills as well as Microsoft Office Products and MRP.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Targeted salary range $80K – $90K + Benefits

Monday – Friday

8am-5pm
