An industry frontrunner in distribution actively seeks an experienced and dynamic Operations Manager to join their respected team. Position Overview:

As a Project Manager, you will be pivotal in overseeing and optimizing distribution, sales, and design department operations. You will lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive project timelines, manage inventory and vendors, analyze costs, and ensure efficient bill and material processes. Strong MS Excel skills and excellent communication will be essential to your success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage projects across distribution, sales, and design departments, ensuring effective execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure departmental and project-specific success.
  • Oversee inventory management, optimizing stock levels while minimizing carrying costs.
  • Collaborate with vendors to negotiate favorable terms, manage relationships, and ensure timely materials procurement.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and projects are delivered on schedule.
  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, identify areas for cost reduction, and recommend and implement cost-effective solutions.
  • Utilize your bill and material processes expertise to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.
  • Leverage your advanced MS Excel skills to create data-driven reports, forecasts, and analyses.
  • Facilitate clear and effective communication within the departments, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field
  • Over 8 years of experience in the distribution and/or general contracting industry.
  • Proven experience in successfully turning around operations and implementing KPIs. Demonstrated success in project management within the distribution, sales, or general contractor industry.
  • Strong background in inventory management and vendor relations.
  • Proficiency in project timeline development and management.
  • Experience with bill and material processes and cost analysis.
  • Expertise in MS Excel for creating advanced reports and analyses.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strategic thinking with a hands-on, proactive approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a family-owned business environment.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
