Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Remote Data Scientist for a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Management Consulting clients for a Remote position.
Responsibilities:
- You will be involved in specific engagements involving the building of new, bespoke advanced analytical solutions for clients.
- Collaborate with product design and engineering teams to develop and build AI based products by understanding of needs
- Research and devise innovative statistical / AI models
- Communicate findings to all stakeholders
- Enable smarter business processes by using analytics for meaningful insights
- Keep current with technical and industry developments.
- You will have a strong understanding of key agile engineering practices to guide teams and contribute to growing and improving our engineering practices. You will help your team build better engineering practices, building on our automated testing and continuous integration practices.
- You’ll mentor engineers within the team, ensure for accurate and complete release and deployment plans by the team. You will build through consensus (when possible) a technical vision and helps the team execute and iterate on it. Additionally, you’ll identify and escalate technical barriers, dependencies, or risks, ensure technical standards and best practices are followed at all times, help manage the process by which code is delivered and its quality.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field like Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field required.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in statistics, applied mathematics, or related discipline
- Two or more years of project management experience
- Professional certification
- Serve as data scientist to identify and integrate new datasets that can be leveraged through our product capabilities, and work closely with the engineering team in the development of AI products
- Execute analytical experiments to help solve problems across various domains and industries
- Identify relevant data sources and sets to mine for client business needs, and collect large structured and unstructured datasets and variables
- Devise and utilize algorithms and models to mine big-data stores; perform data and error analysis to improve models; clean and validate data for uniformity and accuracy
- Analyze data for trends and patterns, and interpret data with clear objectives in mind
- Build and Implement analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and machine-learning engineers
- Five or more years of experience in data science
- Proficiency with data mining, mathematics, and statistical analysis
- Advanced experience in pattern recognition and predictive modelling
- Experience with Un-Supervised, Supervised, Deep learning, NLP, and Gen AI capabilities
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, research-oriented group that has several concurrent projects
- Experience in AWS based Cloud AI/ML/Gen AI cloud stack like AWS sagemaker, AWS EKS, AWS Bedrock, EMR etc.
- Experience in MLOPS capabilities would have a key advantage.
- Experience with container technologies (e.g., Docker) Experience in engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security
Preferred Skills:
- Advanced degree is a strong plus
