Required/Desired Skills

Skill

• Must have at least 10 years experience designing, developing and executing cloud migration strategies
• Must have at least 10 years experience leading cloud migration efforts
• Must have at least 2 years experience training team members on cloud services
• Must have at least 10 years experience in operating and maintaining systems in the cloud
• Must have at least 10 years experience working with application team to assess and make application upgrades to move into cloud
• Must thoroughly understand both application and infrastructure architecture
• Public Sector Experience

Critical Job Responsibilities

Will lead the creation of a strategy/road map for migrating servers to the cloud

Will plan and execute the migration to the cloud

Will work with cloud vendors to assess and use best practices to migrate

Will work with team members to appropriately budget for and financially manage cloud environments

Will evaluate and lead DR solutions where requested

Will be responsible for training the team in preparation for operating and maintaining the cloud environment

Will be responsible for performing application assessments to understand their suitability to move to the cloud

Will work with application teams to upgrade code/shift to PAAS services as needed

Will work with stakeholders to ensure the migration to the cloud meets all security and technology policies

Will oversee and assist in the creating of documentation of infrastructure design documents
