Senior Accountant Job Description

We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our client’s team. Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

• Prepping/reviewing 1065, 1120, 1040, 1041, and related consulting
• Participate in Internal and External Audits on Occasion
• Prepare Financial Statements
• Understand detailed Accounting and Bookkeeping concepts
• Perform Cost Accounting, related Tax and Accounting research, & Data Entry into Accounting systems
• Understand & enjoy Accounting, Tax, & Audit

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform detailed financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and processes
• Research and interpret complex accounting regulations and ensure compliance
• Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and information
• Mentor and train junior accounting staff members and provide feedback on their work

Skills:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in Public Accounting (Required)
• BS/BA Degree in Accounting or equivalent degree
• Strong knowledge of Accounting Principles and Regulations
• Proficiency in Accounting software, Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Compensation Range: $60,000 – $100,000

Experience: Tax experience: 3+ years (Required)
