Job Description

Join Maximus’ Technology Consulting Services team supporting a Department of Defense client’s exciting and innovative software development program designed to develop and deploy digital capability to cyber mission forces around the world.

The Back End Software Engineer will be responsible for:

– Developing services that execute business logic functions
– Perform user research and usability testing to develop and prioritize user stories across project lines of effort
– Contribute to goals identified through program requirements in collaboration with government clients during agile planning events
– Develop quality code which can pass security reviews and scans
– Effectively work within an ecosystem of government and contractor staff
– Achieve velocity and story point completion goals
– Maintain system boundary authority to operate and compliance with DoD Enterprise DevSecOps mandates including the DoD Enterprise DevSecOps Reference Design, Container Hardening guide and cybersecurity requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

– Active TS/SCI clearance.
– Bachelors of Science in a technologically focused field
– 7+ years of experience in software development
– Direct significant experience with DoD Big Data Platforms or environments related to Unified Platform
– CISSP – ISSAP Certification

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

– Experience with Cloud-based systems and/or Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning Development
– Ability to communicate clearly through written and verbal mediums to ensure critical information is always shared across the enterprise and with stakeholders

Pay Transparency

Maximus compensation is based on various factors including but not limited to job location, a candidate’s education, training, experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value analysis including seniority and merit systems, as well as internal pay alignment. Annual salary is just one component of Maximus’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
