About the Role

Twitch is looking for a highly experienced Senior Programming Manager to own the programming, content, and experience strategy and contribute to and oversee execution for TwitchCon and other first party events. Reporting to the Head of Events & Merchandise, you will have high visibility across Marketing, Sales, Content, Design, and Partnerships. The Senior Programming Manager will work with internal stakeholders to determine goals and themes for each event to ensure the best experience for both the community and creators. You will bring innovative, creative multi-market experience to build upon the team’s proven successes. You will own the content development process, drive event goals and timelines, ensure quality control of content, and manage the onsite execution of the content at events.

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, creative, consumer tech savvy, and organized person with 7+ years of experience building large-scale consumer events with multiple business owner stakeholders.

You Will:

  • Define the strategy, roadmap, and success metrics for content at 1st party events, primarily TwitchCon, ensuring content programs are built to meet audience experience and brand goals.
  • Share and communicate content strategy within Twitch, obtain executive buy-in and necessary approvals
  • Recommend programming and experience tradeoffs in lieu of event space and budget strategies within given space and budget constraints
  • Utilize a strategic mix of quantitative and qualitative customer insights to develop content programs that educate, inspire and engage creators and community at each event
  • Provide verbiage, vision, and data for Comms, go-to-market GTM leads, and other marketing efforts
  • Define and execute holistic event design and document experiential goals
  • Manage the development of each content vertical–keynote and general sessions, interactive experiences, and community content –in conjunction with the programming team
  • Lead Event team managed comms outlets, including event tech & registration
  • Manage meetings, timelines and review process for all deliverables
  • Streamline the processes for managing speaker requests/placements
  • Lead onsite execution of event content and speaker management
  • Provide content guidance for 3P events as needed

You Have:

  • 7+ years experience of successfully developing and executing content programs at both large scale trade shows and smaller, bespoke conferences
  • Proven success navigating complex work environments, leveraging matrixed resources, services and platforms
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager
