Overview

The System Administrator I supports a multi-state enterprise environment serving millions of customers/members. Responsible for system deployment, maintenance, and management across the club’s infrastructure. Works under minimal supervision and partners closely with other members of the IT operations team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems involving the application, the operating system, the hardware, and/or the communications infrastructure. Support infrastructure functions by identifying industry standard utilities.

Install, connect, configure, troubleshoot, and perform routine maintenance of operating system, software, hardware and firmware on systems located on multiple networks. Software and operating system patching and updating.

Ensure the availability, scalability, security, and performance of the Virtual and Physical server environment.

O365 Support including Teams/SharePoint/Dynamics 365/Azure AD.

Maintain all system documentation for servers, system integrations, etc.

Install revised or new systems by proposing specifications and flowcharts, recommending optimum access techniques, and coordinating installation requirements.

Provide Windows Server, Linux, VMware and Nutanix support to customers and other project team members. Troubleshoot complex user issues or inquiries.

Analyze system configurations and make recommendations relating to performance and efficiency of those systems. Recommend solutions by defining physical structure and functional capabilities, security, data back-up, and recovery specifications.

Manage Windows server (domain controllers, member servers) environment including services such as AD, DNS, DHCP, FSMO Roles, GPOs, etc.

Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Licenses/ Certifications:
Associates in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or other related fields; or 3-4 years of relevant experience
Bachelors degree preferred
Microsoft MCSE, preferred
Azure Certified, preferred

Experience:
1-2 years relevant experience

Skills & Abilities
Ability to design, build, and maintain high-availability virtual environments
Knowledgeable with Cloud PaaS providers such as AWS or Azur
Exceptional problem solving and troubleshooting skills
Strong understanding of VMware, Nutanix, Linux, Windows Server and O365 is preferred.
Understanding of hyper-converged infrastructures such as Nutanix
Understanding of shared storage technologies including SAN, NAS, fiber channel, iSCSI, and NFS
Ability to develop and present technical solutions to a wide range of complex system-to-systems issues that require ingenuity, innovation and collaboration with multiple stakeholders
Ability to develop, document, and maintain processes, methods, and tools
Ability to analyze needs, develop and implement project plans
Ability to learn new skills and technologies
Ability to work in a team environment as well as be an individual contributor
